With Easter just around the corner, itβs a time when many of us enjoy a little more chocolate than usual π«π£
While treats are part of the fun, increased sugar intake can raise the risk of plaque build up which, over time, can contribute to gum disease. Our Dental Therapist, Catherine, shares why maintaining good oral hygiene is especially important at this time of year, and the key signs to look out for linked to gum disease:
β’ Bleeding when brushing
β’ Red or swollen gums
β’ Persistent bad breath
β’ Gum recession
The good news?
With a little extra care and regular hygiene visits, gum disease can be prevented and effectively managed, even during the Easter treats.
Treatments such as Airflow Polishing gently remove plaque, stains and bacteria, helping to keep your gums healthy and your smile feeling fresh.

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain or composite that are carefully bonded to the front of your teeth to improve their shape, colour and overall appearance. This patient received 8 porcelain veneers to improve their smile π
Veneers can help:
β’ Brighten and whiten your smile
β’ Smooth out chips or uneven edges
β’ Close small gaps
β’ Create a more even, balanced look
With options tailored to you, veneers can offer a long lasting way to feel more confident in your smile, without it looking overdone.
