Plain water helps the saliva do the job of neutralising the pH of the mouth.   **TIP #2** - **Eat your chocolate all in one go!** Yes you heard correct, grazing on sweet treats throughout the day can **damage your teeth**. The acids produced by sugars attack the tooth's enamel. With teeth it's not how much sugar you eat in one go, it's how often.    **TIP #3 - Brushing ** Maintain** oral hygiene** by brushing twice a day with a fluoride  toothpaste. However wait a minimum of 30 minutes after eating chocolate before brushing.   **TIP #4 - Go to the dark side!** Swap your usual Easter treats for **dark chocolate** (at least 70% cocoa) Dark chocolate contains less sugar than milk or white chocolate, causing less damage to your teeth. ![Screenshot 2023-07-31 101103](https://news.auroradentalclinic.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202023-07-31%20101103.png?width=269&height=65&name=Screenshot%202023-07-31%20101103.png) ![Screenshot 2023-08-01 121044](https://news.auroradentalclinic.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202023-08-01%20121044.png?width=417&height=233&name=Screenshot%202023-08-01%20121044.png) We are proud to announce that Dental Nurse's Alex and Emma have both **passed** their **Accredited Intravenous** **Sedation Courses!** This qualification allows them both to **safely assist** the dentist in providing patients with sedation for their dental treatment. Sedation helps **nervous patients** feel calm, relaxed and at ease during dental treatment.
